Before the track can be laid we need to do some preparation. First we will use a Magnet for uncoupling and these need to be sunk in the baseboard beneath the track. We used a router to cut a recess in the baseboards where the magnets will be used. Also, we cut some slots for the point motor rods. The point motors will be located underneath the baseboard with the point rod protruding from the top surface. It's much easier to cut these before sticking the points down.

The baseboards have now been undercoated. The underside will be left with undercoat but the outside will be painted in a nice colour, TBD…
